Scene Movie Review

Telugu360 Rating: 2.25/5

The film revolves around a single scene – a murder investigation led by police officer Prem Raj (Suriya), helped personally by Maya (Nazriya).

The hero’s characterization is very unique, and Suriya plays the role effortlessly. This is the film’s biggest positive. He must be appreciated for accepting this role.

Another aspect that partially works is the attempted subtle comedy. It works in parts but becomes irritating elsewhere.

The investigation remains subpar throughout. The director tries too hard to be smart, but the proceedings fail to engage. Naslen’s character is much hyped but lacks substance. The hero’s parents are supposedly smart and witty, but their characters fail to land.

The plot and theme are too thin to sustain the film.Things keep happen conveniently. Hero’s acts to overcome his problem are cool initially and turns loop as the film progresses. Jithu Madhavan who scored good in his previous outing Aavesham could not repeat the magic.

Overall, this hardly feels like material for a theatrical film! ALEXA , play #scene on my TV ! Suriya fans can give it a try
